These are does that had tremendous influence in my herd and/or in the breed as a whole, or maybe were just favorites of mine.

Twinkie is the first 2-time AGS National Champion Doe and is the Granddam of the 2002 National Champion Doe
Twinkie was the doe who pretty much started it all here at TX Twincreeks Farm. Her breeder, Roy Addington, was only involved with Nigerians for a short time and in fact Twinkie is the only doe who carried his herd name. I first saw her at the Fort Worth Stock Show when she was just a kid, and when Roy decided to liquidate his ND's just a few months later, I jumped at the chance to purchase her.
Twinkie was ahead of her time in many ways, having an exceptional mammary system and dairy character. She milked well and earned her milking star as a 3-year old by milking 4.2 pounds at 75 days fresh on a one day test. This after spending the night at a strange farm following a night of furious thunderstorms!
After seeing her at the 1999 AGS National Show, Jeff Klein, editor/publisher of United Caprine News, wrote "...MCH Raha Acres Twink's Pixie *D is unquestionably a phenomenal doe with the best udder I have ever seen on a Nigerian. She would put many of her "big sisters" to shame."
Most importantly, she passed her outstanding qualities down to her progeny through the generations, and had a tremendous positive impact not only in our herd but in others across the country. She has 6 permanent champion offspring: her daughters MCH/PGCH Midsumernitedream 2*D, MCH Pixie Fern, MCH/CH Fantasea and MCH Madam Butterfly, and 2 sons, MCH Gyrfalcon owned by Darlene Cox and ARMCH Luck of the Draw. Her
granddaughters include 2002 AGS National Champion and Best in Show MCH/CH Mariri's Zinnia 4*D. Twinkie's son Brave Heart +S made a lasting contribution here before moving on to the Inavale herd, and her grandson, MCH Bay Watch *S, made an even a bigger impact, with 7 MCH sons and daughters to date. Many of our best animals trace back to Twinkie.

ADGA Linear Appraisal 2007: EEEE FS 91 (Permanent score) at 8 years old!
AGS Classification: 93.5 Excellent
Zinnia was our first home-bred finished champion, winning her milking legs as a first-freshening yearling, and is our highest classifying doe. She is smoothly blended from head to tail, long-bodied and level, with near-perfect leg sets all the way around. Her exquisite femininity and animation make her even more appealing. Her udder is as gorgeous as the rest of her, being capacious, high and widely attached, with good medial and plumb milkable teats. After earning her milking star as a first freshener, she went on to produce 4.7 pounds of 5.88% butterfat milk on one-day test at the 2002 National Show.
As a 7 year old Zinnia started her campaign on the ADGA show circuit, and earned her 3rd leg at 6 months fresh, in competition that included several AGS Master Champions. While the judges granted "bloom" and udder capacity to some of the other animals, all agreed that she was the "total package" and all were very impressed with her. I'm so proud of my girl!
Zinnia produced some outstanding offspring, including 4 finished champions to date: MCH Perfect Storm +S, MCH Firestorm *S, MCH/GCH Sarafina and MCH/GCH Talk About Me.

It's a mixed blessing when a doe of this age is awarded the honor of being National Champion. On the one hand, we are incredibly proud of this old gal, who still has the feet and legs of a kid and a lovely udder that remains high and widely attached. On the other hand, we know she can't live forever and treasure every day that she is with us, and every kid that she gives us!
Sunshine was one of the first kids born on our place, out of a wonderful dam that we bought bred from Kathleen Claps. Her name reflects the joy I felt when Kathleen allowed me to buy the single doe kid who was supposed to have been a doe kid back.
A slow doe to mature, Sunshine really hit her stride as an aged doe. She excels in general appearance and dairy character, being very smoothly blended and free of excess fleshing, with a naturally level topline and rump. Her udder is beautiful: high and smoothly-attached, with one of the best foreudders in our herd and easily-milkable teats. As a first freshening yearling one judge called her "exquisite" and as a 9 year old another judge referred to her as "...a poster child for longevity in the breed". She finished her championship 1 week shy of her 6th birthday at the 2002 Fort Worth Stock Show by going grand under both judges. Now at 12 years old she still has incredible feet, is in beautiful condition and her udder is still well shaped and well supported. We brought her out of retirement when ADGA opened their herdbook for ND's, and in 5 ADGA shows she was GCH 4 times and Best Doe in Show once. Not bad for an old gal!
Sunshine passed away July 2009 at 13-1/2 years of age. RIP sweet girl.

Bubbles is a compact, powerful doe with a lovely udder that is capacious and beautifully-shaped with a broad area of attachment and a well-extended foreudder.
Her influence is strongly felt in our herd through her son, MCH Bay Watch ++*S, who has produced multiple Master Champions and star milkers to date. She also has several daughters in other herds who have earned junior and milking legs, including a MCH/GCH daughter, MCH Twin Creeks MB Effervescent 2*D owned by Pecan Hollow Farm.

Katie was a very promising kid but sadly broke a front leg quite badly when she was 4 months old, resulting in permanently lameness. Her mammary system is very snugly attached, with lots of width and an especially wide and smooth foreudder. She is the dam of CH Kissimmee.

I loved this little doe when I first laid eyes on her as a first freshener, and welcomed the chance to bring her into my herd. She has a lot of Twincreeks breeding behind her and some National Champions including 2 x AGS National Champion Twink's Pixie and 2006 AGS National Champion Good Day Sunshine, and is the spitting image of her paternal granddam, Midsumernitedream. She is one of our smallest mature does, barely reaching 19" on her tippy toes, and is wide throughout with near ideal feet and legs and a very capacious, well-attached udder with good size teats that are very nice to milk.
Her first one milk test was as a 4 year old, 4th freshener. At 34 days fresh she milked 4.6 pounds with 4.3%BF, easily earning her stars in AGS and ADGA. Although I would have liked to see higher butterfat, I am very pleased with this production from a little bitty doe!
Maid Marian is the dam of our lovely GCH Maid of Honor.

Dam: Far-n-Best Ace of Spades
(Far-n-Best Flag x Far-n-Best Flopsy)
(Picture taken at 7 years old - not fully uddered up.)
Although not a show doe herself, Darlin more than proved her worth as a brood doe through her daughters and granddaughters. Darlin exceled in dairy and breed character, with a lovely head set on a long, slim neck, tight shoulders and sharp withers, very flat, wide-spaced ribs, thin skin and a very deep barrel. I consider her the matriarch of a line that I absolutely love for their sweet temperaments, dairiness and beautiful, productive udders.
Darlin' is the dam of MCH Clementine and the granddam of MCH Mithril Silver and ARMCH Stellaluna who is an outstanding milker owned by Joanne Karohl in Mass.

Clem excels in body capacity and mammary system, being deep-bodied and wide throughout, with a high wide escutcheon and rear leg set. She is also very dairy, showing tremendous angularity, pliable skin and wide, flat ribbing.
Her udder is truly her crowning glory, being capacious and beautifully shaped with plumb teats, broad area of attachment and well extended foreudder. On her first milk test as a two year old Clem produced 4.1 pounds of 5.5% BF milk at 77 days fresh, easily earning her AGS milking star. At 6 years old and just 23 days fresh, she again did 4.1 pounds on a one-day test but this time her butterfat was 6.3%, easily earning her ADGA star as well.
Clementine finished her championship in AGS with back to back grands at the FW Livestock Show in January 2005, earning a total of 4 GCH's.
Clementine is the dam of MCH Mithril Silver.
Goodwood Zippy Mariri 3*D
DOB: 04/13/89 21-1/4"
HES 89.15 AGS 86.4 at 11 years old - a perfect score on rear legs!

Dam: Goodwood Swahili 2*D
(Goodwood King Sunny Ade' x Willows So Forth *D)
AGS Show Record: 1 x GCH, 2 x RsCH
Mariri was one of my very first does, and she was very special. Being of foundation type, she wasn't as refined as many modern dwarfs, but was extremely long, level, wide and correct, with incredibly wide, flat open ribbing. She more than proved her worth as a brood doe, being in the pedigrees of many outstanding individuals, She is the granddam of at least two finished champions, MCH Goodwood Fox and 2-time National Champion Buck ARMCH Goodwood Tom Thumb+*S. Her daughter Twin Creeks BH Zinnia 4 *D is our first home-bred AGS Master Champion and was the 2002 National Champion, and her last daughter, Grande Finale, just earned her MCH as a 2nd freshener.
Dav-Lyn Twinkle Toes
AGS 90.0 Excellent at 9 years of age!
Sire: MCH Willows White Light'n 'E'
Dam: Dav-Lyn Abigale
4 x GCH, 2 x RsCH
Twinkle Toes was shown very rarely for most of her life, and earned most of her show record at 9 years of age. As obvious in this picture taken in May 2001, her rear udder is still held up high and tight, with near perfect udder floor and teat placement. AGS Classifier and judge Sandi Liska commented that she had about the best feet and legs she'd ever seen on a Nigerian Dwarf of any age.
