Policies and Pricing Last Update: July 10, 2008 |
|
|
| Kids sold out of first-freshening does will be $350. Buck kids will be sold out of first-fresheners only if the dam meets our high expectations for general appearance and mammary system. | |
| Kids from mature does who are not finished champions will be $400. | |
| Kids out of does who are finished champions in one registry will be $500. | |
| Kids out of does who are finished in 2 or more registries will be $750. | |
| Kids out of National Champion Senior Does will be $1000. |
Prices are the same for bucks and does as we keep only the best bucklings as breeding animals. If we wouldn't be proud to use it in our own breeding program, we won't sell it to you! On rare occasions we will have mature does and bucks for sale - they are priced based on their individual merit.
No one, including us, can guarantee the mammary systems on doe kids. We strive for excellence in conformation, dairy character and mammary system, but breeding animals is not a perfect science. To know for sure what a mammary system looks like we recommend purchasing a milker if available.
Prices quoted are for animals picked up at the farm; additional charges including kennels, health certificates, shipping costs, etc., are the responsibility of the buyer. Basic health certificates are $40 . Any additional testing required, such as for TB or Bruc., will be added to your bill.
We bottle-feed the vast majority of our kids. The benefits are tremendous but so can be the work load! Therefore we ship or have picked up bottlefed babies at 4 to 6 weeks of age to be finished on the bottle by their new owners.
We require a $100 deposit to reserve a kid. Deposits are refunded
or may be transferred to
another available kid if your choice is not born or if the animal is not up to
our standards of quality. Deposits are NOT refunded on cancelled orders.
A $100 deposit will hold the animal of your choice (if already born) for one
month, while shipping arrangements are made. Once notified of the birth of your reserved kid, you will be expected to remit
the remaining purchase price plus shipping/crate/health certificate fees within
3 weeks.
We do reserve the right to keep any kid as a herd
replacements should we find it necessary to do so ... as in the case of a dam
dying or some other catastrophe.
We ship kids at 4-6 weeks of age, out of the Dallas-Fort Worth airport, using primarily American and other major carriers as necessary. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. This includes health papers and any testing which may be required for shipping animals, crate, etc. We will make all the arrangements with the buyer being responsible for picking up the kid on their end. Shipping costs using AA Priority Parcel are currently running in the neighborhood of $190 for one or 2 young kids in a medium or intermediate kennel with a total combined weight of 50 pounds or less. This cost is of course subject to change. Per airline regulations, to qualify for shipping in the same crate kids must be under 20 pounds each and be approx. the same age/weight. We do not charge mileage for our two hour round trip to the airport. We will gladly bring your kids to any show that we are attending, free of charge. Even better, we encourage you to pick up your kids at the farm if possible, so that you can see the dam and other relatives first-hand.
All kids will come with a printed 4-generation pedigree, health certificates including results of any testing required by you or your state, and registration applications and transfers for ADGA and AGS.
All animals are guaranteed healthy and free of disqualifying faults when they leave our farm. We also guarantee fertility and will replace any infertile animal contingent upon receiving a veterinarian's statement that the infertility was genetic in origin and the animal received adequate care. Associated costs including shipping of any replacement animals will be the responsibility of the buyer. Since we can not control any stress that may occur as a result of shipping, or the animal's environment or management once it leaves our farm, we cannot offer further guarantees.
If you have any questions about the above policies please ask before committing to purchase!
