Summer is a small and wonderfully balanced doe, who is following in her mother's footsteps better than we could have dreamed! She is powerful yet dairy and feminine, being wide and deep-bodied with perfect feet and legs. She excels in udder attachment and capacity, with a very high, wide rear udder, smooth foreudder, plumb teats, and a near-ideal udder floor and medial suspensory ligament. She earned her milking star as a 2nd freshener, and on a one-day test as a 3rd freshener she milked an outstanding 5 pounds! Summer completed her AGS championship by going Grand Champion Senior Doe at the prestigious 2001 Fort Worth Livestock Show, even winning Best Doe in Show over her dam, Twink's Pixie.
As an 8 year old Summer started her show career over once again, this time competing on the ADGA show circuit. At our most recent show just a month short of 9 years of age, Summer was GCH in two rings and won a Best Doe in Show! She also earned her ADGA milking star on one day test. Not bad for an old lady and proof that she is indeed built to last!
