Chardonnay
excels in general appearance, being freight-train long with a level
topline, wide, flat rump and excellent feet and legs, all of which she
passes on to her offspring. She finished her AGS Championship as a 4 year
old under judge Tim Flickinger at the 2006 Fort Worth Stock Show.
Chardonnay
is a dream to milk, having a very pliable udder and
good-size teats with large orifices. In January 2008, at almost 7 years old, she
earned her AGS and ADGA milk stars on one-day test with 3.9 pounds of 7.3% butterfat
milk, at just 8 days fresh. I am thrilled with that butterfat!
Unfortunately
we have not been able to get Chardonnay bred in quite some time. We will
keep trying as she is one of our favorite brood does.
Chardonnay
has a very successful son working for the DesertNanny herd of Sharon
Warren in Arizona. Sharon tells me Icy Hot
"
fore udders are to die for and the support is definitely there"
and they are productive as well. Icy has earned his +B with ADGA and +S in
AGS.
