her permanent championship in both AGS and ADGA, winning AGS National

Excellent at 11 years old, and still maintaining near perfect feet and
legs and a high, tightly attached udder, that I should really keep a herd
sire out of her! Meteor is very long, stretchy, tight-shouldered, great
feet and legs and tops it off with his surprising random black-and-white
coloring and a sweet as sugar temperament.
Meteor has now moved to Calico Creek Farm in
Washington, and we have retained his son Poseidon as a replacement.
Meteor is the sire of

Ginseng brings back in one of our favorite old
herdsire lines, Goodwood Weisbaden for dairy and breed character, combined
with show quality, productive mammaries and longevity. Ginseng's dam,
Paprika, returned to the show ring as a 9 year old after a long hiatus and
promptly went GCH in 4 out of 5 rings, and earned a Best in Show award.
She is extremely sound after 9 lactations and her udder is still held up
high, tight and wide with excellent texture.
Ginseng is a very pretty, stylish buck and I'm
very pleased with the general appearance and dairy character that he is
passing on to his kids. They are long bodied with wide, flat rumps,
straight front legs and good rear leg angulation.
His first daughter to freshen,
Kanika, is all I
could hope for, and he is also the sire of
Cotton
Blossom and
Lacy Lakeview.

Linear Appraisal 2010: +++ FS81 (Good Plus)
I went to Pecan Hollow farm to pick up a
different buck kid but Eclipse's dam caught my eye so much I could not
leave without one of her boys. Constantine is an extremely long-bodied,
elegant and correct doe with a snugly attached udder with good MSL and
large well placed teats, all traits we hope to see Eclipse pass on to his
offpsring. Eclipse combines many of the most influential "oldies but
goodies" in the breed, including 2 x AGS National Champion winners
Goodwood Tom Thumb and Raha Acres Twink's Pixie, National Champions Water
Lily and Good Day Sunshine, and multi-champion and champion producers
Nonpareil, Bay Watch and Gothika. His paternal half-sister is our gorgeous
Rockin' Robin. Eclipse should be an udder buck as well as passing on the
outstanding general appearance and dairy character that runs deep behind
him.
Eclipse is the sire of
Oasis.

I have been so pleased at the way Chiaroscuro
turned out in Joanne Karohl's herd, and jumped at the opportunity to bring
in a son of hers. Chiaroscuro's assets can speak for themselves in these
photos, and Rembrandt's paternal granddam is another favorite of Joanne's,
the lovely ARMCH Here for the Party. Lots of milk and dairiness in this
pedigree. Rembrandt himself is very stretchy and stylish, with nice
shoulders and a very calm, sweet personality.
Rembrandt's junior kids so far are lovely, being
extremely dairy with good general appearance. See
Pretty Noel,
Pretty Monet,
Wine and Roses and
Black Magic Woman. Noel
and Black Magic have earned their junior legs.

One of a litter of
quad bucks that Dahlia graced us with in her 11th year, Edge of Night has
a near ideal rear leg set and escutcheon arch, combined with excellent
dairy character and lots of style. I regret that these photos don't do him
justice - will have to try again soon. Gorgeous mammaries on both sides of
his pedigree. His dam is an ADGA Superior Genetics doe.

High time we
finally kept a herdsire out of Fantasea! We also retained both this boy's
littermate sisters, Sea of
Dreams and Sea Siren. At 9-1/2 years of age, when Fantasea freshened
for the 8th time, her udder was absolutely outstanding - as good as it had
been in her prime if not even better! I expect Poseidon to get plenty of
use as soon as he's old enough.

4-generation pedigree
here.
So pleased to be
able to add this very dairy and stylish buck kid to my herd sire lineup.
He is out of ADGA Superior Genetics doe Algedi Farm Purple Rain who excels in all areas of the
scorecard and is a heavy milker as well. Rain's full brother is CH Algedi Farm H Drops of Jupiter *S, who currently has 3 finished champion
offspring, as well as get that are proving themselves in the mailkpail and
on linear appraisal. One of her full sister's, Lady Venus, is a finished
champion as well. On the sire's side, Mr.Lincoln's littermate sister
Tuscan Sun recently completed her her AGS and ADGA championship. Rainmaker
traces back to the historic and influential Goodwood, Stonewall and
Willows bloodlines that have had an enduring postive impact on this breed,
including our
wonderful old doe MCH/CH Goodwood Good Day Sunshine (Sunsprite's dam) who
was 2006 AGS National Champion. Rainmaker is long-bodied and high headed with a good rump
and lots of refinement, with a wide, correct rear leg set. |

Dam - Blue Raven |

DOB:

Sire:
CRF Castle Rock Harvest Moon *S
(Rosasharn's TL Sitka Spruce *S x CH/MCH Castle Rock Once Ina Blue Moon

Dam:
CH/MCH/PGCH Cloverdale YJ Blue Raven 2011 LA VVEV FS87
(PromisedLand
CP Yellow Jacket x Pecan Hollow Bonnie Blue)
I love Blue
Raven's rear udder arch and teat placement, and when I found out she had a
buck kid available (and blue eyed at that) he just had to join his
herdmate Rainmaker for the flight to Texas. He is long and wide with lots
of style and substance. Looking forward to putting him to work this fall. |
