I love the
Goodwood lines and the Kowaliks of Lost Valley have combined those lines
with other top lines to produce some really outstanding show and milking
animals. Seminole's dam, Sundancer, has that long, stretchy
"Goodwood" look, combined with a beautiful and productive
mammary system with plumb, easily-milked teats. His sire, Tae-Boe,
already has some finished champion daughters.
Seminole himself is very powerfully built with a near-ideal
front end assembly, long, level topline, good width throughout from his
chest to his high, wide open escutcheon, and great feet and legs. These
traits are all evident in his offspring, many of which have earned
junior legs, and some even Best in Shows as junior kids.
Seminole is the sire of Wonder
Witch, Evanescence, Abracadabra,
Kissimmee, Isabella
and Night
Orchid.

As
Sunshine approached 11 years old it finally occurred to me that with all
she has accomplished in her life: finishing her permanent championship
in both AGS and ADGA, winning AGS National Champion at 10 years old,
earning two Best in Show wins, appraising Excellent at 11 years old, and
still maintaining near perfect feet and legs and a high, tightly
attached udder, that I should really keep a herd sire out of her! Meteor is very long,
stretchy, tight-shouldered, great feet and legs, and tops it off with
his surprising random black and white coloring and a sweet as sugar temperament.
Meteor is the sire of Ladies
Maid and Maid of Honor.

Another excellent outcross for
us, bringing back in one of favorite old herdsire lines, Goodwood
Weisbaden, and tons of general appearance and dairy and breed
character. Ginseng excels in breed and dairy character. His
first kids are here - twin does out of Madam Butterfly. They are
stunning.

I love Simon! He's very upstanding with a lot of bone, long, wide, level,
great rear leg angulation and has a
sweetheart personality. His dam is a small, correct first
freshener with a lovely mammary system with excellent MSL and teat
placement. Interesting combination of proven bloodlines including Stonewall's Raising Arizona, Far-n-Best Suzuki *D and MCH Doe C
Doe.
Simon's first kid crop is here and they are gorgeous! So dairy and
stylish, with beautiful heads and great rear leg sets. Very
pleased.

I went to
Pecan Hollow farm to pick up Safari (below), and Eclipse's dam caught
my eye so much I just could not go away without one of her boys.
Constantine is an extremely long-bodied, elegant and correct doe
with a snugly attached udder with good MSL and large well placed teats. One of our most influential herd
sires, MCH Bay Watch, is on both sides of this pedigree, as well as MCH/GCH
Gay-Nonpareil and the lovely, many times Best of Breed winner Gothika.
His paternal half-sister is our gorgeous Rockin'
Robin. Eclipse should be an udder buck as
well as passing on the outstanding general appearance and dairy
character that is deep behind him.
Obviously these weren't the pictures I set out to get, but he wasn't
having anything to do with his formal photo shoot. We'll try again
another time.

This is the kid I went to Pecan Hollow to get initially.
I have long admired his dam Savannah, who was the 2004 NDGA National
Champion Senior Doe. A small doe, she is very correct with a near ideal
mammary system with excellent MSL and teat placement. Savannah traces back to one of
our favorite does, Yuletidetreasure, who we lost to cancer several years ago.
I'm glad to bring that line back in. Safari looks like he's going to be
a very small buck, so he may become our "downsizer" as well as
giving us the udder characteristics that are important to us.

I have been so pleased at the
way Chiaroscuro turned out in Joanne Karohl's herd, and jumped at the
opportunity to bring in a son of hers. Chiaroscuro's assets can speak
for themselves in these photos, and Rembrant's paternal granddam is
another favorite of Joanne's, the lovely finished champion Party. Lots
of milk and dairiness in this pedigree and Rembrant has the sweetest
personality.

| We kept Troubie on the strength
of his dam's mammary system, which is truly outstanding with great
capacity, good size teats and broad area of attachment. Troubadour is
long bodied with a strong front end and excellent rear leg angulation as
viewed from the side. He's a nice outcross on the top side, and brings
in some of our foundation lines on the bottom. |
